On Wednesday 23rd August at 6.30pm Donegal Libraries are launching a new video promoting all the new services and programmes that are happening every day in your local library.
The three minute video entitled “Transform, Enrich, Inspire” will be launched simultaneously in Central Library Letterkenny by the Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Cllr Gerry McMonagle and the Mayor of Letterkenny Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh and in Leabharlann Phobail Ghaoth Dobhair by Cllr Micheál Colm Mac Giolla Easbuig, Cathaoirleach of Glenties Municipal District.
Everyone is welcome to attend these events.
Borrowing a book is just as popular as it ever was, but libraries have come a long way in the last few years with a range of services including e-books, free wifi, story and craft time for children, festivals, local history, information on employment and the European Union. The library is an information resource for the whole community and the new video shows the ways in which people from all sections of the community are using their local library every day.
